Discover Wallsend Park Bowling Club
Welcome to our club! Learn about our rich history, the vibrant community we've built, and how we continue the legacy of bowls in Wallsend.

A rich history rooted in tradition
Wallsend Park Bowling Club was proudly formed in 2012 through the amalgamation of two well-established Wallsend clubs: Wallsend and Richardson Dees Park. The Wallsend Club, founded in 1900, and Wallsend Borough, established in ,1922. both enjoyed significant success in various leagues and E.B.A. competitions. Our club continues to build on this proud legacy, honouring the traditions and achievements of our predecessors.

Our vibrant club atmosphere
We are a happy and welcoming club, known for our friendly spirit and camaraderie. While we sometimes face the challenge of picking teams due to lower numbers of playing members, we believe this strengthens our bond. Our members cherish the supportive and engaging environment, making every match and social event an enjoyable experience. We're always keen to welcome new playing members to share in the fun.

More than just bowls: our social heart
Beyond the green, Wallsend Park Bowling Club thrives on its strong social connections. We have a dedicated group of non-playing social members who are an integral part of our community. They regularly enjoy teas and bingo sessions in the park, contributing significantly to our club's vibrant atmosphere. Our Secretary, Ted Freemantle, keeps in close touch with them, as their help at various functions is invaluable. The club truly could not function without their unwavering support and enthusiasm.
"The friendly atmosphere and rich history make Wallsend Park Bowling Club a truly special place to be. It's more than just a game; it's a community."
